New York, October 14, 2025. Canary Cure Therapeutics announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Lincoff, MD, as Chief Clinical Officer. His role includes overseeing clinical strategy and execution for CCT-217, the company’s investigational dual gene-silencing program for obesity and metabolic disease.
Experience in obesity and cardiovascular research
Dr. Lincoff is an interventional cardiologist and Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. As lead author and study co-chair of the SELECT trial, he has contributed to research on obesity treatment and cardiovascular outcomes.
Advancing the clinical strategy
His appointment brings clinical-development expertise to Canary’s work on fat remodeling and energy expenditure. CCT-217 is designed to investigate adipose reprogramming, with lean-mass preservation and durable metabolic effects among its development objectives.
